Beauty Retail Revolution Rally: A night of inspo and connection
Beauty professionals from across San Diego gathered for an energy-filled event that left attendees motivated and inspired. With the support of our incredible partners, the night was a testament to the power of a collaborative beauty community and what can happen when beauty pros unite around a shared goal: taking back the retail revenue they deserve.
Ever walked into a gathering and just felt instantly at home, like you just belong? That. That was the immediate feeling when you entered the bright room full of people from all corners of the beauty industry: beauty pros, brands, distributors, and more came together for SalonInteractive’s first ever Beauty Retail Revolution Rally.
Our goal? To create an inviting space for beauty pros to talk about taking back their retail revenue and creating more prosperous futures.
Energy, Connection, and Real Conversations
From start to finish, the energy in the room was electric. Beauty professionals had the chance to connect, exchange ideas, and engage in meaningful dialogue. Vulnerable conversations emerged, with attendees discussing the challenges of returning to retail sales and the struggle to keep pace with technological advancements in the industry. These discussions not only highlighted the challenges beauty pros face but also reinforced the importance of finding innovative ways to succeed in an ever-evolving landscape.
A Panel of Industry Leaders
Our panelists—Alicia Layne Hair, Lexi Lomax, Meghan Noel, and Austin Campbell—shared invaluable insights and personal experiences, sparking thought-provoking conversations among the attendees. The discussions ranged from embracing technology in the beauty industry to overcoming challenges in retail sales.
Alicia Layne touched on an important topic, sharing how the physically demanding nature of her work has led her to seek ways to work smarter, not harder. She emphasized how SalonInteractive has become a tool she uses during her downtime to bring in additional revenue, allowing her to own her retail revenue and adapt to the industry's evolving demands.
Community Vibes and Uplifting Moments
One of the strongest takeaways from the night was the sense of community. Beauty pros, distributor partners, field reps, brands, and industry organizations all came together with a shared goal: to uplift and support each other’s success. This spirit of unity was felt throughout the event, creating an environment of collaboration and mutual encouragement.
Giving Back to an Amazing Cause (and getting just a little)
In addition to the inspiring conversations, we were able to raise money and spread awareness for HairtoStay, a seriously impressive organization. HairtoStay is the first and only national nonprofit dedicated to increasing access to scalp cooling for patients who have a financial need, and educating the public and health professionals about the benefits of scalp cooling. Hair is such an essential part of our identities; imagine how powerful support from an org like this is for people experiencing cancer? We are stoked to continue partnering with HairtoStay at future rallies.
We were mostly focused on giving, but had some fun getting a few treats, too. The excitement continued with raffles including some amazing swag from SI and our partners - I mean who doesn’t love a little raffle adrenaline? Rally-goers had the chance to win some pretty impressive prizes, including gift packs from some of the top brands in the industry and a Square register - yes, please!!

Throughout the evening, SI invited real-time feedback from beauty pros, focusing on how the platform can continue to support the community. With the industry in a state of transformation, the conversation centered on how beauty pros can adapt and thrive, especially when it comes to taking control of their retail. As the industry shifts, solutions like SI’s Online Store and Product Recommendation features are becoming increasingly important, providing beauty professionals with ways to evolve their businesses and meet the changing demands of their clients.
